Comment: Jessica and her assistant were wonderful guides. My wife and I enjoyed a morning (not sunrise) adventure along the beach. She rode on Luna and I rode on Pete. Both horses got along great and were easy to ride. Jessica took many photographs of our ride and sent them to us for keepsake. We will definitely be going on another trip with Amelia Island Horseback Riding.

Comment: My husband and I went on a sunset horseback riding tour. We had a great time! The horses all behaved, so it’s great for beginners. The tour guide was lovely. She was wonderful, she kept checking on us making sure we were all ok and having a great time. I would recommend to anyone who wants to go horseback riding on the beach.

Comment: I had an amazing time with my mom! I bought this for her as a christmas gift, she’s been riding her whole life and so horses have always been a huge part of my life as well. Such an amazing time and the girls were so friendly and made the time so memorable! Sunrise ride did NOT disappoint!!!! 10000/10 recommend!!! I would totally do this again!!!

Comment: My sister and I took a day ride with Zuzu as our guide. It was a cold rainy and windy day- that being said, it was a wonderful experience.This trip was on my sister’s bucket list and throughly enjoyed every moment. It was the perfect birthday gift for her!I also enjoyed the trip, especially that I got back to the trailer without falling off.Highly recommend this experience and highly recommended Zuzu as a guide of choice! She was very knowledgeable, patient and personable!A wonderful way to spend time in Amelia Island.

Comment: I searched high and low for a venue that would allow my son and daughter, my father, and me to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday with a family horseback ride. Our family ranges in age from 6 to 70. Thankfully, I found Amelia Island Horseback Riding, and they made my daughters birthday dream come true! Our guide, Amy, was absolutely stellar. Amelia Island Horseback Riding was delightful to work with, incredibly responsive, and so-very-client oriented. Our memories of pairing with Zirc, Jen, Cutter, and Chanel (our respective horses) will live forever in our hearts!! Thank you!!

Comment: Our experience with the daytime horse back riding on the beach was absolutely AMAZING! Unfortunately, I cannot remember the instructors name but she was so kind and nice to all of us. We were in a small group and she assisted all of us, answered all of our questions, and engage in conversation with us the whole time. The horses were beautiful and the view of the beach was breathtaking. The instructor took plenty of pictures of us, she really did an amazing job making us feel special. I have already told my family and friends about my experience and have shown them multiple pictures. I highly recommend it, it is an experience you will never forget. We intend to go back for the sunset for ride :)

Comment: I booked the sunset tour with Amelia Island Horseback riding on 10-06-23. Found out about them via. Hulu ad. Words cannot describe the amazing experience I had. Our tour guide Myla was very friendly and knowledgeable of each horse and their individual personalities. The horses are clean, well kept, mild mannered, and follow commands perfectly. The ride itself was so peaceful, relaxing, and scenic. 100/10 hands down. Our guide even took photos of each of us with our own phones to capture the memory. 😊😁😁 I highly recommend this company and going on the sunset tour. Although Im sure the other times of the day are just as awesome. You wont regret it. So worth it!!!!!

I loved how our gal was very informative and talked through the process with all the riders.The walk on the beach on the back of a horse is soul filling. If you ever thought you wanted to ride a horse beginners are well cared for.Definitely should add this to your vacation experience.

Her confidence, riding knowledge base, and professionalism made the whole group (me in particular LOL) at ease and very enjoyable. I was also impressed with training of these horses. As a nonrider, you really do not have to do anything. Huge kudos to Tanner and Chanel for their team approach of beach riding and providing ear to ear smiles. The horses know exactly where to go and what to do. Impressive.

Comment: I could not find enough words to say how much we absolutely loved this tour. I went with a friend for an evening ride to celebrate my birthday and everything was perfect. Our guide, Myla, was so knowledgeable and welcoming. She answered tons of questions and allowed us lots of time before the ride to bond with our horses. The horses were GORGEOUS! All of them were so well mannered and healthy, and it was very apparent that this company takes great pride and cares deeply about the animals wellbeing. There was a storm rolling in, so we didnt get the perfect sunset, but the breeze and the sounds of the waves more than made up for it. This was a small group, and we didnt all have to stay in a perfectly kept line, so it felt more like a real ride vs your typical organized trail ride where everything is nose to tail the whole time. I HIGHLY recommend and am already looking for another reason to come back. Thank you so much, Amelia Island Horseback Riding and Myla, for making my birthday so very memorable and special.

Comment: My daughter has been waiting to turn 6 years old so she could ride the horses at the beach. We had the best time and made core memories for her birthday. Our guide Zuzu was unbelievable, so sweet, and kind as my daughter talked her ear off and asked no less than 9k questions in an hour. She did so great with my kids and you can see she holds a special place in her heart with kids and the love of horses ! Comment: Another year and another fantastic morning with the Amelia Islands Premier Horseback Riding Tour.Hard to believe that in 2022 we made a 5 hour round trip from St Augustine to experience the Horseback Tour, this year we took it one step further and stayed on Amelia for several nights.Once again Kate was the guide for my ride, Kate is amazing at everything she does, passionate, dedicated, caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for her. It is obvious Kate, and the rest of the team are enthusiastic about what they do and truly take care of their horses.I am already looking forward to a return visit in 2024.

She shared personal stories of her life, her horses & that was delightful. She made us feel like we were a part of the family. My horse Jenn was the sweetest thing. I would highly recommend sunrise and would consider sunset also since the days are sooo hot in the summer in this area.

Comment: Absolutely incredible!! This was the start of my bachelorette! My last ride before I’m a bride :) horses were absolutely perfect, well mannered and calm. The beach was gorgeous! We had Kate as our guide. She was amazing! She was very relaxed and fun! She let us pick our own horses. She even took a little photo shoot of each of us and group shots on our own cell phones! Comment: Riding a horse on the beach has been a lifelong dream of mine, and this experience was everything I hoped for. We had an amazing, laid back ride. The horses were well taken care of and know how to do their jobs well. They were unfazed by the people walking, bikers, even a jet pack parasailer flying by (only in Florida)! The beach is beautiful and perfect location for ride. I am an experienced rider but I was glad all I had to do was relax and take in the views and amazing weather. Extra props from a horse person - the saddles and blankets were all very clean and the horses are well taken care of, and I loved that we all got to feed them treats after the ride. Highly recommended and I will definitely be back!

Holly our guide took us for a sunrise ride and the weather, the beach, the horses and just about anything else you can think of was absolutely perfect.Im very experienced with horses but talk about actually enjoying a ride this was it. I had tundra for a equine companion and he was very well behaved as were all the horses. It was my daughter in law Wendys birthday and this was both her and I bucket list item and boy did we check that one off. This ride was everything we could hope for and Amelia horseback did and acted as promised extremely professional and delivered everything they promised and yes I will be going again someday. Weve taking rides and dinners through the desert a sunset ride on the beach in south Florida which wasnt what it was advertised this ride was exactly as advertised. Cant thank them enough for a perfect day.

Comment: Accommodating and relaxing, just what we all needed! One of our party uses a manual wheelchair and horse riding is one of the easiest ways to have any beach access. This person has had riding lessons already so she was the most experienced rider besides our guides. My husband is also a big guy, so when I called to ask if they had a horse that he could ride, they did! So despite these challenges, Amelia Island horse back riding (and Debbie), took this all in stride and were able to book us all to ride together on the beach at sunset! Then the 20% chance of rain showed up, with lightning, and they offered to reschedule us in the AM, which worked out really well. We had a beautiful, relaxing ride along the coast and everyone we met was great, sincerely helpful, Id do this again in a heartbeat.

My only comment would be that they need to have kid sized saddle/stirrups on hand. We did enter ages and weights when we registered, but my two ten year olds were unable to reach the stirrups. Booking was easily accomplished online, and we were asked questions at the time of booking about our riding experience level, etc. The day of our reservation, we were contacted to confirm our reservation. When we arrived, our guide asked again about our riding experience and provided such thoughtful and thorough instruction to ensure wed be at ease and knowledgeable about what to do during our ride. I am a fairly experienced rider, and still learned something new! Our guide was friendly and attentive throughout our ride, and took pictures for us. The horses were beautiful and gentle, and riding on the beach was almost a meditative experience. I highly recommend, and look forward to doing it again the next time we visit Amelia Island.

Comment: We had an amazing experience during our recent Sunday morning ride (10am). The horses are very sweet and well cared for. Our guide, Kate, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She even stops halfway through the ride to take photos for everyone. The group size is kept small, which is great. We were a family of three and then there were two additional riders. Our seven year old daughter loved every second of the ride! We would highly recommend Amelia Island Horseback Riding, and hope to return again ourselves one day!

I wanted to propose to my girlfriend and they were very willing to work with me to make it as beautiful as I imagined and help keep it a surprise for my girlfriend. The ride itself was incredible. We went on a sunset ride, and our guide was Brittany. She was so pleasant and friendly, showing us how to handle each horse and making sure we were happy and comfortable the entire ride. She also offered to take pictures for us with my phone! They even coordinated with a photographer I hired to get him in position where he could capture our special moment unnoticed. From reserving our spots, having questions answered, and the actual ride itself were flawless. Our guide/wrangler, Kate, was amazing. She stopped and let some very excited kids meet/pet her horse. She even posed our horses and took pictures, with my phone, for us. This was a surprise, dream come true, experience for my daughter’s 18th birthday. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Comment: We visited Amelia Island for the first time in March 2021. We found horseback riding on the beach under “things to do” when researching the area. We decided to book a sunset ride; something we hadn’t done before! The ride was memorable; one of those things you never forget and would definitely do again! Even though the weather was a little chilly, the ride was both exhilarating and calming; the horses were well trained and beautiful! The credit for such a positive experience goes to our guide, Deby. She was friendly, funny, provided great instructions; it was easy to see she thoroughly enjoys what she does. She also took some amazing photos of us on the beach. Comment: What a great experience, I grew up riding quarter horses, but for the last 20 some years had not been on a horse, but as a young girl I romanticized riding a horse on the beach, since we moved to Florida I decided it was time to make this a reality, even though my husband had only ridden once before he was on board. he ended up enjoying the rideI rode a horse named Gatorade aka Gator very friendly gentle horse, husband had Gracie but he said Gracie didnt fit so she became Buttercup, our guide giggled and said is he renaming our horse , I said I think so. He fell in love and she appeared to really like his talks to her.Our guide was so good with the horses and was great with us. Took lots of pictures for us I am just sharing a few.Please go ride on the beach when on Amelia Island with them, I promise no regrets..Memories made 😊

It was a very relaxed vibe during introductions as well as whenever we were on the beach. Instructor communicative very well I answer our questions quickly whenever we reach out to her.One thing we really liked about this experience was the instructor took photos of us throughout the horseback ride. Not only was the scenery magnificent (riding on a beautiful beach at sunset) but it was obvious that the horses are very well cared for. Comment: BEAUTIFUL SUNSET ON THE BEACH RIDE!! My husband and I took our 2 grandchildren (ages 11 & 10) on an 1 hour sunset beach horseback ride and we all had a blast! The horses are all so well trained and we had no problem leading them down to the beach and along the nice, leisurely, long ride back and forth down the beach on our sunset ride. Our guide (Debbie I believe, Im so sorry Ive forgotten your name,) was amazing!! She helped calm our very nervous 11 yr old grandson, as well as our slightly nervous 10 yr old granddaughter (even though they were the ones wanting this ride.) Our guide was so good with them in fact, that they both relaxed immediately and the ride was smooth and absolutely, tremendously enjoyable for us all. My grandson wanted to buy his horse by the time he was done. We all even tried small amounts of trotting, as the beach was nearly deserted at this time of the evening, and it was such a thrill to see the grandkids confidence soar with these well-trained and calm horses. We could not have asked for a more perfect sunset ride. The price is a little higher than some other companies, but weve tried the others, and believe me, the higher price is worth it on so many levels. You will not be disappointed with this company. We HIGHLY recommend Amelia Island Horseback Riding!!

Comment: I had the pleasure of getting to know this incredible group of women at Amelia Island Horseback Riding when my 6 year old granddaughter and I took a spring break trip to Amelia.Horseback riding on the beach was tops on our agenda and we were not disappointed. This was my granddaughters very first horse riding adventure and she had a terrific time!Debbie and Courtney, our guides, were simply amazing with their care, knowledge and ability to take the best photos. They were spot on with putting each rider on the appropriate horse. They spent the time with my granddaughter educating her on how to control her horse and enjoy her ride. I cannot tell you how awesome these ladies were. We had a technical difficulty and Debbie was right next to us and switched the gear in a matter of minutes.
