Comment: Marcy is so welcoming, the entire staff is! This place is wonderful. A great trail ride! You dont have to have experience with riding horses, they will teach you everything you need to know. You even get to feed your horse carrots at the end to reward them. Beautiful location, nice people, and sweet horses. Cant wait to go back!

Comment: My first time riding a horse in Florida and the last time I rode a horse was in my early 20’s. I absolutely loved it! I went with my family and all my grandchildren loved it. I hope we go back for the kids birthday parties.

Comment: My fiancé and I went on our first 5 mile trail ride here on Saturday and let me say that was one of the best times I have had in a long time! Everyone is super sweet, the horses are very calm and gentle. I rode Athena and she stayed at a slow walk because she could feel I was a bit nervous in the beginning once she felt my eagerly become more at ease and that I was comfortable we started walking faster and then we moved to a trot. They are all extremely well mannered and trained horses. My fiancé rode Miss Priss and he was super comfortable with her also. I can’t thank you guys enough! I am also starting as a volunteer there today (Monday) I’m so excited!

Comment: My first visit to Crazy 8 Ranch was more than 10 years ago. The horseback riding is NOT nose to tail, though the horses are dependable. But they do have a brain and a mind of their own, so it makes the rides fun and interesting. After passing through a neighborhood, the rides enter the Apalachicola National Forest. The rider can sign up for horses based on your skill and a ride based on how long you want to be in the saddle. Many of the horses are rescues whose lives have been improved by joining the crew at Crazy 8. You can also lease a horse from Crazy 8 and ride on your own or bring your own horse and rent space. There are campsites available if you want to stay awhile. The place has summer and Christmas camps for kids along with riding lessons for both adults and young people.I still go to Crazy 8 and am impressed with what Marci DeCamp has created out of the space and the number of horses she has managed to rescue. This place is worth your time, your money and your sore butt after a ride in the woods!

Both horses are beautiful and the owners do a great job of taking care of these beautiful animals . Our tour guide was amazing with blue cool hair and so knowledgeable about the horses . Comment: I have ridden many many trail rides in my life, in several states and farms, the normal nose to tail, stay in line, horse knows exactly what to do and doesnt veer away from the trail.... This is NOT that experience! They offered to trot, they offered to gallop! No.pressure to do so but allowed if thats what u wanted and could handle! We did the 11 mile trail and it was naturally beautiful and the horse were sure footed, well trained and had individual personalities! This was such a great experience! It was soooooo amazing one time and exactly what I have been hoping for every trail ride. I finally found this place! I live in South Florida and this trail ride with worth the 5 hour road trip!

Comment: On Sunday, March 21, 2021, my family and I visited this ranch. Shantel was one of the individuals who guided us on our one hour horseback walking tour. Shantels personality was very straightforward and honest. She is a younger lady and was very informative about the ranch and each horse. I had the opportunity to ride the horse named Freedom. I never rode a horse before and Im sure Freedom knew that. I was left way behind due to my lack of experience, however Shantel talked and guided me patiently. I had scheduled another horseback tour for Sunday, April 4th, however their online form allowed me to schedule a tour on Easter Sunday, but unfortunately the ranch was closed. The ranch contacted me in advance and offered to reschedule or to give a refund. I chose a refund, but I plan to book another horseback guided tour soon!

Comment: My friend and I came here today and had the greatest time. We did the 2 mi trail and it was the smoothest and most relaxing thing Ive done during COVID. Stormie and Cruzan, our rescues horses today had such personalities and it truly made the experience more fun. They are so well taken care of and loved. I cant wait to come back!! Definitely the best place for horseback riding in Tallahassee.

We were a group of 6 and they accommodated us without a problem in the afternoon. They were very nice and it was very pleasant. Highly recommended!!! Great experience!

Comment: I highly recommend this place. The staff was wonderful and very understanding when I brought my new dog, even helped me with a few tricks to calm her while around the horses. They were also amazing with teaching my 2 children how to ride the horses. My son is 4 and he has adhd, I was afraid he wouldn’t pick up the lesson but he got it and it was thanks to the women with them. I will be going there again.

The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, approachable, and entertaining on the rides. The horses are very well taken care of, and it shows. Comment: I talked to the owner the night before. She was able to get us on a ride at 9:30 AM the next day. The ranch is easy to find. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. The horses are very well cared for. We only went on a one hour ride this time due to my exchange student has never ridden before.She offers 1 hour, 2 hour and even longer trail rides. All riders from experiences to new are welcome. I can not wait to go back and ride again!
