Comment: Back in July 2022 my wife and I decided to get away for a few days for our anniversary. It was on our bucket list to go horseback riding for the first time. We wanted to find a little family owned stable to support when we came across desert acres stables. Based on Google reviews seems like the perfect spot for us so I called to make reservations and spoke with Donna who was an absolute sweetheart on the phone. We got there for a 9:00 a.m. ride. Donna and Alli her assistant for both prepping the horses for us. they greeted us and were both very warm and welcoming it was our first time and they coach us through what was needed to be successful in our ride. after about 2 minutes on the horses my wife and I were perfectly comfortable purely based on the instructions given to us by Donna. It was a one hour ride that was totally awesome or only regret is that we didnt book it for a longer time. Donna and Ali are both pros and handling the horses Donna is an awesome teacher and I will definitely be going there again. As for the cost it was worth every penny I would have paid more.Thank you Donna and Alli for my wife and Is first horseback experience and for making it an awesome one

Comment: We did a 2 hour trail ride in January and had nice ride, nice and cool in the 60s. We have our own horses at home but always like to explore new places. The ride takes you through a wet lands area so my shoes got pretty wet , my fault for wearing tennis shoes on horseback. The owner is an experienced horse person and you can tell she has been there and done that. I hope we can ride there again in the future.

Comment: Randy took us on a trail ride. We enjoyed the scenery and his patience as he taught us what we needed to know to make our experience a good one. I hope we can go again next time we are in town!

Very professional and reasonably priced for trail rides and lessons. Horses are kept in excellent condition and are well trained. Highly recommended for any level of rider

Comment: Took my boyfriend and two of his friends out to Desert Acres this morning for an hour. Anita was a knowledgable and accommodating guide. The horses are well cared for and sweet. Every one has a different personality. We will definitely be back for the 2 hour trail.

Comment: I have not gone or set up a day to go to Desert Acres yet, but it sounds amazing! I have been looking into getting a horse, but I need to learn to ride, and how to care for a horse. I was also wondering if you have to bring your own horse or if they let you rent one or have one you can ride?

Comment: My 8 year old had her first lesson yesterday. This isnt just about riding its about taking care of the horse you ride and learning responsibility!! We as parents loved it!! Our daughter was a little scared but Donna did a wonderful job making her comfortable!! Cant wait for next lesson.

Comment: Desert Acres Stables was recommended to us by a friend for a fun trail ride. My husband and I went out for a Valentines Day date. We had an absolute blast! This isnt your typical follow the leader trail ride. We got wet, muddy, and had the best time. The horses are great and you can tell very well cared for and loved. We highly recommend this place for any type of rider. We cant wait to go back!

Comment: Desert Acres is the best place ive had a chance to ride. with more than 5 different sectioned areas to ride, this is the perfect place to take lessons or board/lease a horse. great for any skill level, kids LOVE this place. they learn valuable work ethic and at the same time get to work with many different animals, including dogs, chickens, turkeys, a cat, and the occasional pig sneaking onto the property. they even have boots available to rent for inexperienced or beginner riders who are hesitant to spend 100$ on boots. Oh yeah, and did I mention the over 1000 acres of trails?

Comment: I have been to Desert Acres on numerous occasions, the staff couldnt be more helpful to show you the ropes. Donna Hakanson is a thorough and patient instructor and I would highly recommend this facility for any equine needs you have.
