Comment: My girlfriend and I booked the Giddy up and Go tour for Valentine’s Day and had a blast. Our tour guide Trent made sure everything went smoothly and helped us along the trail. Plenty of horses and to feed and interact with afterwards as well. Great family feel to the ranch and would definitely be back again. 10 out of 10.

Comment: This place is amazing and Trent was incredible!He was knowledgeable, professional, and easygoing; with safety for both horse and rider as priority.The facility is well kept and the property is beautiful for riding. They cater to just about anything you could think of (swimming with horses, weddings, parties, picnics, etc.). Each riders level of experience is taken into consideration, which in turn dictates the kind of ride you will experience (along with the horse best suited for your skill level).Youll be taken on trails, through creeks, and around water on their 300+ acre property. After the ride, youre welcome to stick around and feed the horses treats. We brought our own apples and carrots, but other treats were provided.They do not only provide rides, but reliable and affordable boarding options as well.If you feel so inclined, it is encouraged to stop by and offer some volunteer work, which benefits the animals, the staff, and (obviously) youll enjoy it.I cannot WAIT to go back. Trent clearly has a passion and love for the work he gets to do everyday. I look forward to making In The Breeze a regular destination :)

Comment: My husband and I rode there Jan. 25th. We enjoyed it very much! We were able to gallop, full speed! The guide, Trent I believe was his name, was very nice, always informed of us what we going to do, told us what to expect from our horse and made sure we were all ok before we started galloping and when done. Yes, we would recommend it!

Comment: Me and my friend Kacie had the best time today. Trent was our guide and he really made the experience special. He took the time to answer questions and to make sure we were all comfortable with our horses. I highly recommend this Ranch to learn how to ride or just go for fun. All staff are super friendly and informative. I was also blown away about how many people volunteer there. I will definitely be back as a rider and as a volunteer to help such a great cause. If you ever need something to do that’s different in Tampa check out In the Breeze and ask for Trent or any of the other amazing staff as your guide. Thanks again Trent!

Comment: I had the opportunity to visit the ranch and did the “giddy up go ride” during my birthday weekend. The overall experience was amazing!! The staff and guide did an awesome job providing guidance and support to make the experience great, fun and safe. At the end I was allowed to walk around the stable, feed the horses with carrots and take some nice pictures. I strongly recommend the experience and I would definitely do it again. Thanks!

Comment: I happened to be in the area while finishing up shopping two days before Christmas with my two little boys. I decided to swing by just to see if we could see and pet the horses. Trent advised that they were closed for the day but to come back earlier tomorrow. Once he realized my boys were in the car with me, he told us to get out and went out of his way to make my little guys happy by feeding the horses. Needless to see the kids were thrilled and I can’t thank Trent enough for doing that. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this place again.

Comment: My boyfriend surprised me with the “giddy up and go” riding experience last Monday for my birthday! We had perfect weather and we lucked out getting the trail to ourselves! Trent was absolutely awesome! A great guide with lots of experience and a great sense of humor. I would recommend “In the Breeze” to anyone looking to have some fun with some super nice, experienced ranchers, along with some very sound, friendly horses!

Comment: Cant recommend this place enough. My girlfriend and I reserved an evening ride with Sandy who was extremely helpful and patient during the scheduling process. Our tour guide, Brian, was deeply passionate about the animals and was an excellent teacher. Ive never ridden a horse before but I was able to pick it up quickly with how helpful he was. The trail ride was enjoyable with peaceful walks through nature that slowly escalate to a trot and canter. This was my first time riding and I definitely recommend trying the Giddy Up & Go as you get the cantering experience. I also recommend buying some carrots for the horses as feeding them after the ride was a sweet end to the night. (10/22/2022)Edit: (11/18/2023)My girlfriend and I revisited this year and had another amazing time. Trent, our tour guide, was extremely welcoming and made sure we had an unforgettable horse ride. He even inspired us to volunteer! I highly recommend doing an evening Giddy Up & Go ride. We were the only riders, the weather was great, and the different riding speeds is a must try. The horses are beautiful and very well taken care of, I definitely recommend you bring carrots!

Comment: Went trail riding with my BFF. Main purpose was to have fun but wanted to ride the palomino mare (that Im riding). I had ridden her the previous week for a few minutes but I needed to do a long ride. The trailguide Sammy was awesome. They got the horses ready. My friend and I are both good riders and know how to tack up horses. So we did assist with grooming and tacking. But the farm ranch hands will take care of everything for you. Horses are well-cared-for great weight. And all appear to be happy riders on the trail. Had a great time and I will be back to do a different trailride down the road. And... This was not my first time riding, but it was my first time at this ranch, and it was such an amazing experience. We walked, trotted and actually cantered which I’ve never been able to do at any other ranch.My girlfriend is not as experienced on a horse, and was able to learn quickly with the instruction from JT. I (the tall, strong, stoic, handsome man that I am) let my girlfriend ride the troublesome Apache (he bucked!) while I rode the more tame Sunshine. I highly recommend the Giddy up and Go so you can run with the horses.The sunset ride was very beautiful next to the lake. The guides give you pointers on how to run with the horses even if you are new to riding horses. ( i am a professional, i played red dead redemption for 2 years).After your trail ride you can feed the horses carrots (highly recommend, the horses get SO excited for carrots)10/10 would do again.

Comment: Hands down the best trail ride I have been on! I have never been able to find a place that allows you to go faster than trotting. We got to canter next to a beautiful lake! JT took great care of us, he was so hospitable and knowledgeable. The scenic trail was so peaceful. We were also able to give the horses carrots and attention after the ride. Comment: Brought my 6 year old horse loving daughter here for a trail ride. She was so excited and JT made our ride memorable as he told us about the history of the area, the horses and local nature. My daughter loved every minute of her ride and then also loved feeding carrots to the horses.Well maintained horses that have a great demeanor and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. 100% well be back again!Update: We visited again about 2 months ago (3 years later) and my daughter was able to do the Getty up and ride which a totally different experience! She loved it, and the trail guide was so informative and talked us through the ride and what to expect the entire time. We had an amazing ride, Im sure well be back (again)!

Comment: Me and my husband had an amazing time at the Breeze! Everyone was really nice and knowledgeable of the horses. We were nervous but they made us feel comfortable and gave us specific directions for riding. They are truly amazing. I highly recommend bringing them tips, at least $5 per person that you bring with you although they dont ask it is a nice gesture. Use the restroom before you go because it is a bit of a walk to the back. Lastly, bring snacks for your horse. You can bring carrots, apples etc. They love it! Your horse will thank you. Mines even let me get a kissy! I had sunshine and my husband had Lady Mae, they were incredible!

The guide took both of our skill sets into consideration and accommodated to us both. I was against cantering but he walked me through exactly what to do and calmed me down a bit. My daughter had Scout and I rode Ducky. My sister in law has been riding for her whole life and was very impressed with the professionalism and how well the horses are taken care of. If you are looking for a fun ride thru “old Florida trails” def go here and ask for Bryant as your guide. Comment: I took my 9 year niece on the Giddy up and go trail ride on 6/22. She is an experienced English rider and I’ve never been in a horse! Cajun Cowboy was our lead and he did an amazing job of: making sure I was comfortable and gave me pointers, asked Kinley about her experiences, answered all of her questions about horses and such, and guided us thru the trail even thru 20 minutes of torrential downpour. I never felt unsafe or worried about riding and my niece hasn’t stopped raving about it. We can’t wait to come back and do another ride! In The Breeze Ranch - despite only being 20 minutes from downtown - feels like you have stepped back into time and you have a fun time being one with nature!

The Getup and Go included beautiful trails through woods and creeks, with plenty of nice cantering and trotting through. The horses were friendly and well groomed, dont forget to bring carrots and apples for their treats afterwards.

Comment: We’ve went horseback riding many places before. Best experience yet. This is a must if you like riding or even a first time rider. You can walk, trot, canter, and gallop. They provide lessons if you’re interested as well as volunteer opportunities if you like horses. Bryant was awesome in leading us and is very personable. Larry was great as well! Enjoyed time feeding the horses. Make sure to bring carrots/apples. Lots of land and tress to have picnic after ride.

Comment: Best place to go and ride if you’re ready to get your blood pumping. Bryant (Cajun Cowboy) was amazing! The ride we did was called “Giddy up n Go”, and they meant it. First he took us from a trot to a canter to gauge what we could handle. By the end we were galloping threw the trees! Had a wonderful time learning about Bryant’s riding history and all the horses on the farm. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants to fully experience what it’s like to ride a horse.

They work hard all day long and its really poly they still have couple extra minutes for you after all.Ride was fantastic. My husband was first time ever , I was 3rd . We cant say enough words to describe our satisfaction. If you looking for really fun ride they are definitely one of the best. Because of that we purchase classes and 2 times more advance rides. Comment: Had an awesome trail ride this weekend! Several of us had never been on a horse before but the instructors made it easy. The horses were calm and they were easy to handle. The trail was fun going through a couple of creeks and it was a nice way of seeing some authentic wilderness, combined with all the local information we received from our guide J.T. The entire ride was about an hour, but I would have loved it to last longer! It was a fabulous experience that will be a lasting memory of our Florida trip!!

Bryant (Head Volunteer) is super knowledgeable and puts a lot of work into the ranch, I learned so much from him about horses, rodeo culture, and the history of Florida. The horses here all looked healthy, the boarders are friendly, and the property is beautiful--no horseback riding on roads with cars here, which a lot of other ranches in Tampa Bay seem to do. I cannot recommend them enough. my boyfriend and I got to enjoy the sunset ride today all by our selves! Our trail guide was so educated and knowledgeable, stopped frequently to take our pictures, and taught us how to ride so well that we were cantering confidently by the end of our trail! Comment: Loved this place! Every time I travel with my kids we go horse back riding, and a side from riding our own horses, this place was hands down our favorite! The view while riding was great, the ability to trot and canter while riding was a great trail riding experience, and the hospitality from everyone there was amazing! Brian was awesome trail guide, and great with kids! Horses are definitely well cared for, and matched up great with your riding skills. Comment: We have had 2 family trail rides at In the Breeze Ranch. This is a beautiful 350 acre ranch in Tampa, right off Gunn Highway. The 1 1/2 hour trail ride took us through natural habitat and along a pretty lake on easy trails. The horses are gentle and follow directions, making it easy even for children to ride. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating to our needs. We will make this an annual event for our family. Thank you!

Comment: This was a awesome, relaxing and exciting experience! Imagine in the heart of the city, a hidden gem. The guide was an experience 13yo who was just a gem the whole ride. The horses were well kept and very pleasant. This was one of the more reasonably priced rides in the area and Im so glad I went with them. There is a portion of the lake you can swim at after as well. The paths were right on the water and next to it so the horses got to get wet to cool off a bit. Well worth the money and I surely will be back!

Comment: LOVED IT! Me and my teenage son went for an early 8:30 am ride. Which is probably the ideal time to go. We were greeted right away and given instructions. The Trail ride is amazing! Our guide Ava is the best!! Full of knowledge, polite and great at making conversation to be so young. It was our first time riding a horse but we love animals and felt so comfortable on the horse without anyone holding the harness besides us. I am a believer that animals feed off your energy. It is a nice trail. The horses are well trained and when we galloped or took a trot it was just so exhilarating!! The hour went by so quickly. Afterwards we fed the horses some carrots and got some horse knowledge from a gentleman that works there who also was super polite and a joy to converse with. Worth every penny. Will be back!!

The ranch is beautifully kept and backs up to a wild life nature preserve, which is well maintained and kept in its natural habitat. In The Breeze is a non profit business and all the guides are volunteers. An amazing experience, I would do again when vacationing in the area.

We were a group of 6, varying in ages from 8 to 50 + and our riding expertise varied also from “first time on a horse” to “been riding several years”.The two ladies accompanying us on the Giddy Up and Go ride made sure that we all felt comfortable and had a good time. Comment: I came out here a few years ago and i loved it. We came to Tampa for our anniversary and i told my husband we have to go to the ranch and ride.Brian we great, very knowledgeable and gave us a great experience.My husband and I haven’t ridden a horse for years and Brian was patient with us and told us exactly what to do so we can have a good experience. We did the walk and run and at first we were scared but Brian was good we rode Cracker and Apache both great horses!!Definitely coming back!! Also remember the guides are volunteers and they do not get paid therefore be generous and bring a tip and treats for the horses… apples, carrots.. wish we bought bags and bags of carrots as we wanted to fed all 75 horses that were on the ranch.Thank you Brain and all the volunteers and ranch owners 😁

Comment: OMG! This place is amazing and who would have thought it was just down the road in the heart of Tampa. This place has a family feel to it and I knew I would love it immediately. I am a beginning rider (like the last time I sat on a horse I was 10yrs old lol), and my friends and I booked to giddy up and go package. It was a couple of weeks ago so Ive already forgotten the young ladies name (her mom was having a minor surgery that morning). She was so awesome with me and taking her time to make sure I was comfortable with the cantering that it made it easy for me to trust her and my horse (I think the horse name was Mag? I know her husbands name was Mack lol) sweetest ever and knew exactly what to do, where to go and when to stop. The trail was an absolute joy to see and we will be coming back. The only down side if this is I was sore for.the next week lol, but it gave me a reminder of the fun it was. Cant wait to put my body through that punishment again lol.

The grounds are beautiful, it’s nice to have an escape from city life in Tampa. Each of the horses had their own personalities and they do a really great job pairing and explaining that to inexperienced riders. The restrooms were out of order, so just stop at the gas station to go and grab snacks beforehand.

The horses were great and friendly and followed the trail. You will get wet as you have to cross a creek. Comment: I decided kind of last minute to make a reservation to go horseback riding. It was EASY to pick this place because of the reviews. Upon entering...there were GOATS...omg...so cute! Horses...everywhere! The staff was warm, inviting, and friendly. I havent been on a horse in years and this was an enjoyable treat. Julio was our awesome trail guide and Hannah brought up the back. We had such sweet gentle horses. We did the nature walk today but we want to come back for the Giddy up and Go! They let us visit with the other animals before we went on our way. My gosh...these are such beautiful animals and I cant wait to come back.

Today I decided to book us a reservation for the afternoon since the weather was nice. There was a slight mix up in the scheduling of our reservation, but we understood these things happen. The owner fixed the situation immediately and was able to get us out on the trail for the ride as we intended. The check in process was quick and the staff was organized and on time. The ride was amazing! I had such a great time riding Opal, a beautiful white horse. I did the walk/ run ride and even though I’m a beginner, I felt safe. My tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and he provided tips and lots of help all along the way. The riding trails were beautiful too, like old Florida with ponds and lots of shade trees. After the ride, the guides even offered to take my photo with the horses. Comment: We surprised our daughter with a trip to this ranch for horseback riding. Shes only five and she has a Christmas Eve birthday, but it was such a relief that they were open and operating.It was such a wonderful experience despite the bits of rain during our tour. There was a bit of a wait before signing paperwork, but I would hardly complain because it was obviously Christmas Eve. Regardless, everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly (except my horse). And we were able to pet the miniature horses and goats while we waited.Our tour guide assigned an older, calmer horse to my daughter and kept her upfront. I was directly behind her on a separate horse, and we had three other riders with us. Im not sure if it was because of the holiday or if all riding sessions are kept small, but our group size was perfect.Its been almost a year since we last visited (we also have a one-year-old), but our oldest has not stopped asking to go back. This was hands down the best birthday surprise. Very, very grateful for the entire experience.

Comment: Enjoyed the advanced ride. Our guide Bryant was very informative. The creek was high and we had to take the horses for a swim across. Our horses Magnum and Jeff were great. We will be back again!

Comment: Great experience! We did the Giddy Up & Go Ride and it was worth every penny. Check in process was pretty straightforward and easy to do. You go with a few others in the group which is nice. We had Bryan as our guide and he was awesome! He gave us instruction and always checked on us to make sure we were good throughout the entire ride. He even gave us some information about the trail and how the ranch is a non profit organization with volunteers, like him, and campers helping out around the ranch. The trail was beautiful and we got to go through a few creeks which was really fun! Will definitely be going back for another ride soon!

Comment: If youre looking to do a trail ride on a horse or a pony in the Tampa area, this is where you want to go. There grounds are beautiful and there horses are well cared for and trained. They even have options for children.

Comment: I love this place. Its so peaceful, beautiful and very relaxing. If you have never been on a horse before, this is the place to go, it is very safe even for kids. This was my kids 1st time on a horse back riding and they were nervous and a bit scared about it but after just a few minutes they loved it and they want to go back again. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. This is a hidden gem right in the middle of busy Tampa.

Comment: Went here to snap images for an engagement shoot. Enjoyed the people and the country atmosphere. The terrain for riding was varied and great for my taste. Plenty of lovely horses and the two girls that assisted with the horses during the photos were a joy. Thank you In the Breeze.
