Comment: Just a spectacular place. The people are awesome. The owner is very knowledgeable and has a excellent personality and great with kids and people in general. Would and do refer them to anyone I speak to about equestrian anything as far as riding or boarding.

Comment: Love this place! The instructors are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. They can teach anyone from someone thats never been on a horse, to someone thats been riding their whole life. They even do horse shows at every level. Prices are very reasonable and they are super helpful and accommodating!

Comment: My 7 year old daughter had an amazing lesson with Claudia. Claudia is an excellent teacher. She was very in tune with my daughters beginner skill level and advanced gently through each skill as she felt she could handle each step. Claudia encouraged her when she felt like she wasnt getting it and raised her confidence to keep trying. I also saw Claudia help another customer train their horse, and saw how well she read the horses behavior. I highly recommend Lone Palm Stables and Claudia as a teacher.

Comment: I am so grateful we found this barn! This is our first experience with riding lessons and a friend whose daughter competes in shows warned us that it may take a few tries to find a barn and trainer that we connect with. Lucky us, we found the right one on the first try. My daughter was timid, shy, and scared of everything. The first time she got on the horse she was so nervous. But Claudia has transformed her into a brave and confident girl in only a few months. Claudia is the perfect fit for my daughter… she is ALWAYS friendly and smiling and bubbly. She’s so positive, even when she makes a correction to my daughter she does it in a tone that is encouraging and not condescending or mean. Claudia taught her so much and is able to push her outside her comfort zone without upsetting her. We absolutely adore her and the horses and couldn’t be happier with this barn. Everyone is so friendly and the horses look happy and loved. A real gem of a barn for sure.

Comment: I love having my young Hanoverian horse with Lone Palm stable because they are knowledgeable about good care and husbandry. Being an older rider they are very helpful and available to assist me when needed. Tamara is an excellent instructor for beginners young and old.

Comment: My daughter started learning to ride and progressed to leasing and finally purchasing and showing her own horse at Lone Palm stables. Ben and Tamara were professional, kind and helpful all the way through. We were at Lone Palm for several years and had only good experiences with Ben and Tamara. I am a very particular mom and I always felt very comfortable leaving my daughter at this stable.The horses are well cared for, the facility is professional and safe yet friendly and comfortable.If you are looking for a good place to start for yourself or your child look no further. This is the place.

Comment: Reviews can be a wonderful way to learn about a business, unless the writer has a hidden agenda or a vendetta against the owners themselves. And you know what they say about opinions...everybody has one. Well, this one is mine. We have boarded our 2 horses with Ben and Tamara Martin for over a year now. They have been very friendly, helpful and above all else, professional. Our daughter has been in several English hunter/jumper shows. She has won a wall full of ribbons and awards under Ben and Tamaras training. Do yourself a favor if your looking for good solid trainers, or a place to board your horses, go there and form your own opinion. Only YOU know whats best for you and youre family.

Comment: I would like to thank you Tamara for your help with my young gelding. The pointers you gave us about desensitizing are already helping in our progress with crossing streams and other water. Soon our Sierra Mountain Rides will be a lot more enjoyable! I wish you lived here in CA permanently so we could continue our lessons. I hope to train with you next summer.

Comment: Ben Martin of Lone Palm Stables is an extremely patient person! My husband and I decided to get married on horseback in Renaissance costume, and I had only ridden a horse twice in my life. Ben taught me to sit side saddle and walk a horse around an arena in just two lessons. My husband and I had a beautiful wedding thanks to Ben.
