Comment: My husband has never ridden a horse and was terrified of it, but did it for me to surprise me for Christmas. It was the most perfect experience ever. Tracey, our guide, was so comforting and personable. We even got the obligatory deer sighting on Christmas Eve. I cant wait to go back again!!

Comment: Brought the family out for a morning ride through the Picayune forest. It was a fun adventure with highly trained guides, clean stables, and gentle horses. The ride in the forset is like a trip back in time to days long gone by. Everyone loved it!

Comment: My boyfriend and I visited M & H Stables for a private ride and neither of us have any experience with horses. The trail guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She did an excellent job teaching us how to ride. The horses Sailor and Gator were very sweet.

Comment: I took my 4 of my grandkids ages 5-8 for pony rides. It was the best adventure I have done for them!! Forget about the run of the mill round in circles kind of ride, they experienced brushing the horses, cleaning their hooves, riding all different ways, washing them down, and leading them on foot. It was filled with everything!!! Each one of them said they loved it!! The guides for each of them were sharing so much information for them. I will bring them and the rest of the grandkids again and again. I highly recommend this!!!

Comment: Its not a fancy place at all. Just the bare basics. There is a bathroom, a gazebo with two pick nick tables. The horses are nicely kept. They look healthy and happy. Its an hour ride inside the natural reserve. It gets very hot, so a hat, sunscreen and water are a must.I have done this kind of ride before and the horses were more gentle there. It seems like theses horses have some naughty habits that may make the inexperienced rider a bit nervous. The rider needs to be a little more active in conducting these horses, not everyone may be comfortable with this. There is a guide that goes out with you and helps you trouble shoot if things get funny with the horses.Overall it was a nice experience and I would potentially do it again. Come with realistic expectations, no luxury here but it can be fun for all.

Comment: What a great ride with Michelle she made my ride even more enjoyable. I rode Sonny what a sweet boy so smooth even while cantering. Ive been riding since I was small but they have horses for all levels even a couple of ponies for the kids.

Comment: Our experience with D&H stables was absolutely wonderful!! We went for my daughters 10th birthday so she was a little nervous but the staff took the time to ease her nerves and make her feel comfortable with the horse. We then proceeded to the trail which was great, very shaded and scenic! When we got back to the stables again the staff went above and beyond! They allowed us to give the horses treats and even help give them a bath! I honestly can’t recommend this place enough!! I0 STARS ⭐️ from our family!

Comment: This is a really nice stables. The trail ride was peaceful through the trees so it was mostly shaded. We learned a lot about the area from our guide. Our horses were clean and well cared for and well behaved. It was an enjoyable experience. It also was just me and my husband no big groups so that’s a real plus as well! I would definitely recommend going out for a ride while in Naples!

Comment: This is a great place for Horse Camp over summer. They not only teach how to ride the horses, they teach all that is involved in caring for the horses. They teach by actually doing all the necessary care for the horse you want to ride. I think in this way you begin to understand the animal by being around it vs just on top of it. There is a pool for a break after lunch and to cool off. They do some other craft activities also if the weather is bad. Highly recommended, located on the edge of the Everglades for great trail rides in nature. Cost for 1 week of summer horse camp is $325, 8:30am - 3:00pm.
