Comment: I Was In Foster Care In 2006 At The Boyz Ranch Right Beside Mckie Equine Center Which I Called It The Horse Barn & I’m Happy To See It’s Still There & In Action & It’s Been 16 Years Sinse I Left The Boyz Ranch & Came To Lakeland Polk County Florida To Get Adopted & I Use To Ride Horses Here About Every Dang Day & I Loved It & It Brings Back A lot Of Memories With Mrs.Pooh And The Horse Name CrackerJack I Use To Ride All The Time…I’m Looking Forward To Coming By Soon To Visit This Amazing Country Peaceful Place Again And Get Back In The Saddle For Some Trailriding!!! 🤠👍

Comment: I have ridden here with Ms. Pooh (Philipa) for the past 13 years, and I cannot possibly fit all of my positive experiences here into this review. So many different levels of horses for your child to learn on, and such a devoted trainer. Lots of connections and experience buying/selling horses. Works wonders on green and “problem” horses. Pooh is generous and kind to a fault, and will pour so much of herself into you if you’re willing to put in the work. She’s also hilarious to boot. You WILL NOT find a better quality horsewoman, especially not at her ridiculously low rates.

Comment: Absolutely love Mrs. Pooh. She taught me from elementary school until I graduated high school. She has a big heart and will care for horses that are tough cases even when others would cast them aside. She values hard work and commitment from her students and will pour just as much into you as you do into the sport.

Comment: I have boarded my horse here for years! I love it here. All horses including mine are well taken care of. It is a fun atmosphere and family friendly. String cheese is a disgruntled child with false pictures photo shopped from the web. I show my name because I am not a coward.

Comment: Captain Mckie is the former Riding Master of the Household Cavalry. As a former Trooper of this proud and distinguished regiment, I cannot speak highly enough of the Captain, and his daughter, Philipa. Just ask yourself, how many riding instructors do you know that are so highly respected by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll?

Comment: What a wonderful place. I met Barry, a charming Brit, whose passion for horses is only surpassed by his love of life. He showed me how to check the bridle and saddle and then how to mount the horse. Boogy was a sweet horse who tolerated well this clueless human. In the ring, Barry tried to teach me, and I tried to listen, how to talk with my horse using my body. I dont mean kick your horse I mean using subtle touch and even energy to communicate. Stopping wasnt like seen on a western movie, but quieting my own body using gentle thigh pressure and only a whisper coming from my left hand. It was a magically experience. I only hope people like Barry are appreciated and his love of life and animals rubs off on all of us. Thank you.

Comment: The Captain and Phillipa each take the time for individualized instruction even within group lessons. Cant wait till I can go back. I will never forget when the Captain said if the horse is doing something wrong it is your fault.
