Comment: So happy to find this center! I reached out to so many other centers to ride with my niece and it was such a hassle. When I reached out to Linda she made it happen. She knew which horses to give each of us based on our knowledge of riding and checked on us during our riding to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Her team were very patient and helpful. My niece enjoyed their sincerity with teaching her. They will definitely be seeing more of me.

Super well cared for horses...so happy and loved! Highly recommend if you are looking for boarding or if you want to take lessons!! Comment: I’ve been coming to this barn for lessons for almost a year now and I couldn’t recommend better! My riding has improved leaps and bounds. I’ve learned how to be receptive to what my horse is communicating to to me, and how my own anatomy and strengths and weaknesses in my body contribute to the product of my ride. No matter your discipline (western, English, dressage, etc.), they teach it. They take excellent care of their horses and boarders and they are located next to Wolf Lake Park which is perfect for trail rides. Great barn for beginners and experienced riders.

Comment: I received my 1st lesson at Spun Gold this weekend! This was a phenomenal experience. Linda was so welcoming along with her friendly help. Isaiah! I was able to roam the very large property to see all of the horses. Before my lesson I was able to groom the horse Winston and watch how the saddle was put on. Learning how to drive the horse was so much fun. I learned how to turn him, stop him, and make him go again. I cant wait for my second lesson with Linda! She was so kind and really knows her horses. I would recommend anyone here! Its also a beautiful refuge from the city.

Comment: Ive started taking my grandchild for riding lessons and we both love the grounds, staff and horses. I, too, read some of the negative reviews. Im not taking her to be coddled nor babysat. I want her safe and to learn how to be comfortable around horses. Also to be taught whats involved in caring for horses.Linda is firm but kind. That is with whom I entrust my 5 yo grandchild. These are horses, not tricycles.

Comment: Our family has been riding Hunter Hack, showing Hunters and Jumpers both locally and nationally with GREAT success. Shows including Fuzzy Navel, The Appaloosa National Horse Show and The Appaloosa World Horse Show. We have won in Halter, Hunter, and Jumper, multiple times. So numerous our ribbons and trophies, that we ran out of wall space. We also enjoyed pleasurable experiences including trail riding, team penning, and other activities where we got to enjoy having a horse. We kept three horses at Spun Gold over the years and still visit to this day. Linda Sluder and her daughter Celeste are some of the most hardworking and talented women in horses today. One thing that is really good about them is they understand what the person wants to do with the horse and they steer their training towards that goal. So, if a person is interested in rodeo or barrel racing, they will train towards that. If you’re interested in learning to jump fences, they will steer your training towards that. Western or English, if you don’t want to show one or the other, you don’t have to. They help both children and adults so that nobody is held back age wise. Their expertise and training helped give our family practical experience which we then turned into award winning talent. Their knowledge extended beyond just horses, but also to Jack Russell Terriers and, through our time at Spun Gold, we have become a Jack Russell family too. Our family have been with Spun Gold for nearly 30 years and we would recommend them to anyone from novice to professional.

Pictures they posted show stalls that are not even in use that are in line for renovation. They have and continue to make so many upgrades to the grounds. Horses are dangerous, and if you do something wrong you can seriously injure yourself, the horse, or others around you. My whole family has ridden here and we love the horses, the facility, and the true knowledge gained from coming here. I have been working with Celeste for a few months now. She is a very accomplished trainer, cowgirl, and overall horsewoman. With her help, my skills are coming back and I am learning new skills from her in every lesson. I even asked if she would teach me how to rope. My roping is coming along well too. I like the way Celeste and her mother, Linda, tailor the lessons to your needs and skill level. I highly recommend Spun Gold for beginners all the way up to occomplished riders.

Comment: Called and met Linda, needed to have a colt pulled from Gulf Stream Park like yesterday. She dropped everything for my colt who needed medical attention. The compassion the radiated from her was like nothing else iv experienced in this industry. I pray there are more out there like her. Like an gift from heaven she was placed here for HORSE PEOPLE! Comment: I am not one to usually review businesses but after my experience the other day I felt I had to. I have been riding horses for about 12 years and stopped about 8 months ago when I moved down here to Florida. Finally I am at a place in my move where Ive settled down and can do lessons again so I looked it up and found Spun Gold Equestrian Center. I visited to check out the stables and ask questions about the lesson program. Linda was amazing and got me in for a lesson the same week and Celeste stayed with me and talked with me for almost an hour! ( I also feel that I need to mention they offer 1 hour private lessons which is great considering where im from in New York it is only 1/2 hour private lessons and is around same price)When I went for the lesson everything was great but honestly one of the best parts was Linda. As you can imagine I am quite out of shape considering I havent ridden in a while and instead of getting getting annoyed or mad every time I had to stop to catch my breath, she told me it was fine and that she completely understood. After about a half hour I was aching and so out of breath I had to stop. Instead of having me get off early and have my lesson cut short she gave me a tour of the rest of the land on horseback for the rest of my lesson. This was the best experience I could have had coming back to riding and I cannot thank Linda enough for this amazing experience.Although by now it should be obvious I will be continuing my riding lessons here from now on!

After I leased a semi aggressive horse, my confidence shut down, I ended the lease, and I stopped riding for about a year. After, I found spungold! Linda helped me gain all my confidence back! All their horses fit each level of riding. I recommend this place 100% Linda is an amazing coach! They are also in a great location for trail rides. Call ahead they do get busy.

Taught my daughter and I the basics of riding and she is planning to take more lessons since we saw the progress of other students. Plenty of horses and great location for trail rides. One ring was busy so we used another ring it was nice that they had the room and staff to accommodate all of us. Call ahead as they can get busy and work by appointment😀😀😀
