Comment: I took my 12 year old son for a camping trip this weekend. I genuinely cant say enough how great this way. Everything was taken care of for us. The horses were so well taken care of and absolute spoiled babies. The guides were knowledgeable showing us things, teaching us about care and equipment. The food was so great too, thanks Mr. Dave!I want to say though the personality of the people and the bond between them was the best part. Ms Kathy walks out of the house and all the helpers smile and wave. Shes such a mother hen and kind soul. Cici and Evans were such great side kicks, even playing corn hole and competing in a foot race with Mt son. I laughed so much! This was an absolutely wonderful experience. I will 💯 percent be scheduling another trip!

Comment: Such a fun experience!!! I had a wonderful time with Sarah (instructor/guide) and Thunder (horse). I did a solo tour, which was great because it gave us a lot of flexibility. It is obvious that these horses (and dogs) are well taken care of. This was only my second time riding a horse, and with a few simple instructions at the beginning, it was very easy to ride the horse successfully. I had no issues! I signed up for a 4pm tour but we pushed it to 5:30pm to try to dodge the heat. Im glad we did! I was able to ride with the sunset! Amazing!! I will be doing this again. I highly recommend!

Comment: They have gaited horses!!! I got to ride a Paso Fino. Im in love! The guide was laid back and let us have fun. At the same time, all horses are ridden in hackamores. No bits! And you are instructed to give carrot treats along the way. What an amazing way to operate trail rides. The horses are loved and have fun too. Ill definitely be back. 34/5 stars!!!!

Comment: Finding Sunshine Riding Trails has been fantastic; if you live in the area or just visiting, it is a great experience to share with others. I initially booked a Basic Horse lesson with Kathy. It was something I had wanted to do for some time. I learned how to perform grooming, balance, and control. I had a great time and learned quite a bit about horses. The following week I went on a 2-hour guided trail with Kirsten; it was so much fun, and I got to experience the rush of riding through the trails. The horse has their personalities. I had the opportunity to ride Cupid and Elvis, and they made me laugh. These animals are so exquisite and powerful but patient. I recommend anyone to take time out from the hustle and bustle of life and relax with these lovely animals. It makes you appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.

Comment: Kathy was so awesome for our ride today! It was my boyfriend’s first time on horseback and Kathy did an amazing job picking out the perfect horses for our experience & guiding us. We rode Starlight and Skittles today, both so cute and so good!! You can tell she really cares about both the people & the ponies here. The horses are full of personality and you can tell they love their job. We had a great time & 10/10 would recommend for both horse loving people & people just interested in the experience! Next time we come to PCB we will definitely be booking again. Thank you Kathy for the fantastic ride!:-)

Saffron is their largest horse and is absolutely beautiful 😍 she is sassy and loves her snacks. We would definitely recommend this trail ride! Cant wait to go again and bring our twins next time.

Phoenix was the horse I rode (beware he loves carrots 😂😂🤣) we will definitely be back to ride maybe even a 4 hour ride next time we come to visit from North Carolina… thank y’all you did such an awesome job

Comment: This was a very fun place to go to. I have never ridden a horse before and I chose to come here for my best friends birthday. You only ride with the people you brought in your party which is nice, the guide is very friendly and she walks you through everything, and she even lets you gallop the horse. The only downfall is you go through a field and there are a lot of branches and things that hit you, they could use a nice trimming of the field, and the horses dont really respond to your conmands, they really only listen to the lead horse. But, its definitely worth checking this place out, I had a lot of fun and so did my friend. Team Humphrey and Gypsy for life. Lol

Comment: My husband and I booked a two hour trail ride and absolutely loved it. The horses were very sweet and great for riding. You can tell they really take care of their horses. It’s been years since I got to ride, but once I got in the saddle it all came back to me. Saffron was my horse and I absolutely loved her. I can’t wait to go back with my friends! And trust me, I will be back ❤️I can’t wait to try the camping as well! Our trail guide was so sweet and funny as well

Elvis would make a great endurance horse and I loved the trail dog. If it wasnt a 7 hr drive I would come and ride with them all of the time. Comment: My husband and I arrived today for the first time to ride the horses; for our 3 hour ride. I was so excited and nervous because I had never ridden one at all. My main visit was to get away from New Orleans, la and enjoy some relaxation r and r on these horses for my birthday which is Sunday ! The tour Guide Jim and Kirsten were so patient with us and they were so friendly. This was my first time riding and I know I did very well. As we rode I began to get more comfortable with the horses and feeding them carrots. I loved my horse that I had ; she made me feel special . I even got a chance to ride a-little faster with her and that was a challenge. I worked muscles that I had never worked before. I had an amazing time here with these folks! This is my spot to come ride horses! ❤️ Thank you so much ! I really enjoyed my self today !

My guide was pleasant and the horse was easy enough to manage with the little bit of experience I had already and the provided instruction. The trail was woodsy and the views varied delightfully. My horse was cantering and she made sure to explain how to help slow him down a little and let it become a much more smooth ride! We are definitely planning to do a longer ride next time!

Comment: We decided to ride horses during our last trip to the beach and I’m SO thankful we chose this place. It was perfect for my 10 year old and 5 year old. My 5 year old got to ride her own horse which she loved. The owner Kathy was absolutely wonderful and the horses were gentle with the kids. The trail took an hour to ride and it was BEAUTIFUL! This is something we will be doing every time we come to the beach! We will definitely be back because it was the highlight of our trip!

Comment: The trail guides obviously love their jobs. The horses are well cared for. Ive never been to a stable that specializes in trail rides that actually took time out of the ride to give the horses treats and water. The tack is well maintained and the trail guides are very good at adjusting the saddles to fit you for a comfortable ride. Pretty much anyone that can hang on to a horse can ride here. The horses themselves are typical trail horses. They have a nice steady gait and are very patient with beginners. They also dont use bits here for trail rides, which is great. Beginners pulling on bits can really damage a horses mouth. This is a small, local operation, which is excellent of youre looking to support small businesses. Overall, this place is great and we will be back for more trail rides, maybe an overnight camping adventure!

Comment: The best place if youre looking for a relaxing personal experience. We did one hour and enjoyed our time with our guide. She was confident and took us on really awesome adventures through the trails. I enjoyed how much we really got to do. We plan to become regulars and go atleast once a month. Love the family and the atmosphere. We had Humphreys and Thunder. Thunder is the love of my life and such a sweet funny girl. Cant wait to be back!

Comment: This was a beautiful adventure. Mr. Rich was a great guide and gave us gentle horses that were perfect for first time adult riders. The horses are trained very well so a 5 minute lesson on how to direct the horses was all that was needed before we set out on our journey. The trail was a beautiful example of natural Florida flora and fauna, and winded down through the Sandhills and around a gorgeous lake. Mr. Rich set the pace to whatever we were comfortable with, and answered any questions we had. 10/10 will definitely be coming back for another ride sometime this year!

Made sure to teach us how to ride to make sure we were ready before going out on the ride.The 4 hours was long but enjoyable, think the sweet spot is the 3 hour ride.

Comment: Great place with such kind people!My sister and I have several years of riding experience in Dressage seat and we have been wanting to go for a trail ride for quite some time; so glad we found a local business to help support!The owners were so kind; Kathy’s husband stood outside and talked with our parents the entire time my sister and I and Kathy were out on the trails and they said they had such a good time speaking with him. Kathy was so nice and made sure we were comfortable throughout the ride and was very accommodating to us if at all we became uncomfortable for any reason, and our horses Elvis and Penguin were very sweet; very loved by the owners and you can tell that they love their job of going on the trails😊Our first introduction to Gaited horses was a lovely experience and we will definitely be visiting again!

Along they ride they were very safety conscious and gave us direction in holding our feet correctly and sitting in the saddle properly. Comment: I decided to do the over nighter ride and camp for my daughters 13th birthday. We could not have been happier with the entire adventure. First, we groomed our own horses which I thought was a great way to bond with our horses. We then rode some awesome trails followed by a swim in a beautiful cold water spring. We got back on the trail for an incredible sunset ride until almost 9pm. We arrived at camp where Dave had an awesome steak dinner waiting for us on the grill. We ended the night with smores by the camp fire and some good conversation and laughs. In the morning we had hot coffee and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. We hopped back on the trail and had another incredible ride and a much needed dip in Williford Springs which was gorgeous. Kathy was so accommodating through the entire process. She completely left it up to us in regards to how much we wanted to ride. My daughter just couldnt get enough. As far as Kathy, David, and Dawn you would be hard pressed to find better people. Kathy has such a passion for the horses and what she does. She was such a joy to be around the entire trip. David was a great guy and a heck of a cook and Dawn brings a great sense of humor and we had some good laughs. These folks truly love what they do and it shows. I would highly recommend Sunshine riding trails to all. I know we will be back again!

Comment: This place is awesome! They are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. We were greeted immediately (by super sweet dogs too) and given snacks for us and treats for the horses. We got to watch the other horses graze in the fields while they tacked up. You get a mini riding lesson before you go out on the trail to get to know your horses specific needs. My husband and I went for our honeymoon and Dawn made it really special by getting some great photos of us by the lake and the overlook. We had a blast with Dawn. We did the evening ride and she let us run most of the trail. The trails are full of wild life and acres of beautiful scenery. We loved every minute of it! We will definitely be going back on our next beach trip! Thanks yall!
