Comment: I started riding very late! I was in my 40’s. To complicate my quest to become an Equestrian, I have a neck injury, which would support that I shouldn’t be riding. I went through several barns before I found True Blue Farm. I worked with several of Shana’s trainers and Shana. Every lesson was amazing.The confidence in myself was growing. What I didn’t realize at the time was my recreation was becoming my therapy. My riding was helping me deal with the trauma from a car accident in high school (30 years past) that killed my 17 year old boyfriend. You see at 16 I couldn’t face the pain of Steve’s death. So, I buried it. The demons of trauma haunted me for years. To say I was a”hot mess” was an understatement.As my confidence grew, I was finding the strength to face what a 16 year old couldn’t. It wasn’t over night and it wasn’t easy. It was at True Blue Farm that my metamorphosis really began.When I fell during a canter transition, Shana quickly ran over to access to ensure I was okay. Then, as every trainer would do, she told me to mount Bentley again and ride him around the ring. That was one of my most empowering moments. Much like life, when we fall get back up (in the saddle) and keep going.Like most riders, I was struggling with trust after my fall and my connection with Bentley suffered. It was another trainer who felt I needed a change. She encouraged me to ride Paris! At first, I was “No way”. I can’t ride a mare.In the end, my trainer was right. Paris was my first gray mare and she built a strength inside me that to this day seems to be unbreakable. I videoed most of my lessons. A video of me and Paris successfully transitioning to a canter was distributed to my closest friends.This video was a turning point in my life. My journey with Paris was the infliction point where three young adolescents who suffered a tragic loss of their boyfriend/friend came together as adults to finally face the trauma of their loss and walk the rest of life together.I can’t imagine where my life would be today had I not found Shana, True Blue Farm and her family of trainers.I am now in Texas, it has been my dream to open an equine therapy facility. In 2020, I launched my limited liability corporation, Mon Parachute Equus, LLC. It’s name has a French translation of my equine parachute; the horses were my parachute. I wanted the name to always remember, Paris, so Mon Parachute Equus was born.I owe so much to Shana and True Blue Farm!!! The patience, the friendship and the family I had, I miss every day. I know without a second thought Shana will always support her students regardless of their age. I would recommend Shana and True Blue Farm to any student ready to become an Equestrian!!!

Comment: Shana purchased my sweet pony, Molly, some time back. Molly was my first horse and grew with me from such a young age. I was not going to let her go off with just anyone. Shana came along through a mutual friend, and I swear she was truly meant to be Molly’s next mama. Shana and her people care so deeply for their horses, riders, and just everyone in the community! More than 10 years later, Shana still shares constant photos and videos of Molly living her best life at summer camp with the kiddos and playing in the water (her favorite thing!). I never rode with her as my trainer (I live in GA), but I CAN speak to her character, and a simple review just doesn’t do it justice! If you’re on the hunt for your next barn, I can assure you you’ll be in great hands at True Blue.

Comment: True Blue Farm is my home-away-from-home. As an adult rider of 30 years who has experienced a little bit of all sides of the industry during this time; as the weekly lesson kid, the intercollegiate kid, the partial-lease adult, boarder & horse owner I can’t express how much I love and appreciate what True Blue has to offer. In only 2 years of riding with Shana she has helped me improve certain areas that have plagued me for YEARS, such as twisting my body…or not staying tall enough to my fence (counting). She has also significantly helped me improve my self-confidence as a rider, something that so many adults struggle with! I love her direct, honest, and non-dramatic approach and teaching style. She’s not only a wonderful horse woman and instructor but my own “horse show mom” at the shows. All she asks is open communication in what your personal goals are (because how can she help you if she doesn’t know?) and to show up ready to try your best each time. Highly recommend this place!

Comment: My kids had a phenomenal experience during their riding lesson this week. I really appreciate the education and upbeat attitude that Chris provided. We have been to a few horse farms in other states and this one stands out in a positive way. The horses are treated as pets rather than money-making beasts of burden. The customer service is excellent and the farm is very close to downtown Sarasota, and easy to find. We loved everything about our visit and will be back soon.

It is my daughters favorite place to be - I honestly think she would sleep in the barn with the horses if I let her!All the trainers are knowledgable, supportive and truly care about their riders. As a parent I have been very impressed with the dedication Shana and all the trainers have to making sure all riders no matter of their ability reach their full potential.My daughter has not only learned to ride horses and made life long friends but she has also learned so many life lessons. Comment: I cannot speak highly enough of Shana and True Blue Farms. My daughter had spent many summers there. The barn is clean and safe! She’s made memories at True Blue Farms and I am so thankful to Shana for that. If you’re a new rider, advanced or professional this is the place for you or your children! My daughter came home everyday exhausted and so excited! She talked about her day all the way home, took at bath, ate dinner and crashed for the night! The next day she couldn’t wait to get out the door! Thank you Shana for sharing your knowledge and slice of heaven with everyone! My daughter is the horse person she is today because of you! Comment: This is hands down the BEST barn I have ever ridden at. Shana is the most amazing, patient, knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging trainer. Her ability to teach little kids all the way to adults is adaptive and fun. The horses are all beautiful and well taken care of, excellent school horses who are so responsive and well trained. The barn atmosphere is free of drama and everyone is so supportive and kind. I have never once finished a lesson without someone giving me a compliment on that days ride. This is the best horse atmosphere ever!

Comment: This is the BEST PLACE to go for Summer Horse Camp! Shana knew her horses so well! The instructors were nice, and my daughter said it was so much fun! Her favorite horse was Drew. We love this camp! If you need to find a camp, True Blue Farm Is always there! We are definitely coming back next summer for sure!
